Hi my name is Duke and I am a big huge lover. I like to play with other dogs, protect the house and sleep. I go on walks when it is cooler out but when it is warmer I do not last too long due to my heavy coat. I walk well on a leash and always walk on my owners left side. I have been groomed every 6 months to keep my coat fresh and clean. I love it when my owners use the brush attached to the vacuum to groom me too!
will eat around anyone including other dogs and small children without issue. I do not chew on things and can sit and lay down if there is a treat in front of me. I will play with rope toys all day long and chase the rope if you throw it. I do like to protect and will alert you of anything unusual around us. Don’t worry I have never been aggressive or bitten anyone. I will growl as that is my signal that I want to PLAY. My loud deep bark when needed will keep those out who are not suppose to be there. Sometimes I lay on my stomach and curl my front legs underneath me to look like a seal! My previous owners have taken good care of me. I roam the house and sleep by any door to protect everyone. I prefer not to sleep where my owners are, but will take up a dog bed if there is one. I am completely house trained and truly love being with my humans. My previous owners love me but they travel often and feel that I would be good with a family that is home. If you want to contact them just ask and Pyrescue can get you in contact with them.
